Hello everyone!   Thank you for your patience, it’s been a busy one for me. Let’s get right into it.   

Shipping Progress: 

Since returning from Europe, 270+ orders were sent through.  

Orders left to ship: 432 

Orders are continuing to roll out as I can afford to send them out. I am anticipating a few more big payments in the coming months so things should keep rolling out in chunks.   

Address Changes: 

Please send any address changes to [email protected] with the subject line “Address Change” to ensure your address doesn’t go to an outdated address.   

Missing Orders/Damages: 

Please keep an eye on your tracking and make sure to report missing orders no later than 35 days after the last tracking update was made so a claim can be filed. Missing order reported later than 40 days after they have gone missing unfortunately are no longer covered by insurance.  

To report a missing order, please email [email protected] with the subject line “Missing Order”  If your order arrives damaged, send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “Damaged Order” no later than 30 days after receiving your order

Please include; - photos of the damages, including the item and the box - the name, order number, or email associated with your order  If you are unsure if your order has shipped, please check emails from BackerKit for tracking information. So long as you are receiving emails from BackerKit without issue, you will receive your tracking information in an email from them. 

If you have not received tracking information, your order is still in queue.  

Holographic Playing Cards:

If you have holographic playing cards (signed or unsigned) in your order and are still awaiting your order, PLEASE READ THIS SECTION.  

So unfortunately, it would appear a box of 144 units of holographic playing cards has gone missing - whether this happened in shipping or if it was misplaced during fulfillment, I’m not sure as all the numbers were adding up perfectly until I checked them again last week. I had reserved a couple hundred decks as back-ups thinking it was plenty, but between the number of damages that had to be replaced AND the missing box, the numbers are no longer adding up. 

I am approximately 70 holographic playing card decks short.  Reprinting is not an option at this time with the minimum order quantity of 900 decks, and I did check if my printers would be willing to make an exception given the circumstances with no luck.   

So, here is the plan. If you would like to volunteer to switch your holographic decks for gold deck (as I have more than enough gold decks to make up for the missing holographic ones), please email [email protected] with the subject line “Switch Holo to Gold” and in exchange for your flexibility and willingness I’ll throw in a bonus pocket holographic playing card deck (as I have more than enough stock in these as well to offer this).  Hopefully, enough people volunteer that numbers can all add up again. 

If not, I will get the remaining holographic decks out, and what is left after that will automatically be replaced with a gold deck and bonus pocket playing card deck. 

There WILL be an update if this is the case BEFORE any orders ship out with a different deck than what you ordered.  

I know this situation is not ideal, but with everything that has gone wrong, at this point, I’m just happy I had so much head room with gold decks that I can still replace the decks AND have enough extra pocket decks to add in a little bonus for not getting exactly what you ordered.   

Thank you for your understanding, hopefully, this is the last issue I run into.   

Refunds: 

Refunds will happen AFTER all remaining orders have shipped and in the order the requests were received, as I can afford them - NO EXCEPTIONS.  

You will be contacted when I am ready to process your refund. Keep in mind, there will be a few fees associated with your order that cannot be refunded. These include Kickstarter fees, survey fees, and any other additional transfer fees associated with your order that I cannot absorb. This number will be broken down for you when you are contacted.  I do not have an ETA at this time of when these will be processed, but you have not been forgotten.   

If you wish to cancel your refund and restore your pledge, this IS possible (I’m mentioning it as I have received an increasing number of requests for this as more and more orders go out.) If you wish to restore your pledge, email [email protected] with the subject lime “Cancel Refund” and I’ll take care of you there. 

Please keep in mind that if you cancelled your pledge before paying for shipping, you will still be required to pay shipping before your pledge can be restored.   

Customer Service:

I am checking emails and Kickstarter messages/comments when I can. It hasn’t been on any sort of schedule as I’ve been extremely busy, if you are waiting a while for a reply, you are not being ignored, I just haven’t gotten to your email/message. 

If something is time sensitive such as damages/missing order reports, I am keeping an eye out for those subject lines to make sure these don’t get missed. Just keep this in mind when waiting for replies and thank you for your patience.   

Further Updates:

Moving forward, I am committing to making an update every time I am prepared to make another big batch of shipment or making a move. This means, no update means nothing new. 

I've been writing massive updates almost monthly consistently and as I near the end I don't see the purpose of writing unnecessary updates repeating the same information every month.

I don’t get the chance to reply to everyone, but I see the comments/posts and they brighten my day every time.   

And thank you to those of you still waiting for your ongoing patience and understanding. Still not quite through it all, but definitely getting a whole lot closer and the project has been becoming a lighter and lighter weight to bear that feels more and more accomplishable as every little bit of progress gets made.

Back from Europe Tour - Shipping Updates!

Hello lovely people!

I hope this message finds you all in great spirits. I'm excited to share some updates with you after returning from the wild ride that was my Europe tour. 🌍✈️

First and foremost, the tour was absolutely incredible! It was a whirlwind of inspiration, meeting fellow artists, and immersing myself in the rich tapestry of European culture. I can't thank you all enough for your support and patience while I was away. The tour proved to be very successful and now that I'm back, I'm slowly but surely getting things back in gear.

Being able to step away from this project and breathe for a moment has also drastically improved my mental health around it and I’m back with a fresh dose of motivation to get through this. Thanks for sticking it out.😊

Shipping Resumes Shortly - Send in Address Changes ASAP!

The most exciting news is that shipping will be resuming shortly. Please take a moment to double-check your shipping address. If you've moved or need to make any changes, please email [email protected] with the subject line “Address Change” as soon as possible. I will be sending through a good chunk of the remaining orders over the next week, so I want to be sure addresses are correct. I will be sending the first batch through on Monday so you have the weekend to send in any changes.

Europe treated me well, I won’t be able to send through ALL the orders with what I made, but it will be a big step in that direction. I will update you all on where we are at with shipping in the October update.

Customer Service

I finally got to emails yesterday. I honestly had no time or space while I was in Europe to check anything. The couple of days I had that weren’t at festivals were spent preparing for the next event and attempting to recover. I did get a SIM card so I would have data, but the reception at most festivals was flaky to say the least and I was so busy it would have been difficult to find space for emails either way.

I will be checking Kickstarter messages and comments sometime over the next week, I’m trying to take things in bite-sized portions as it’s quite overwhelming to try and do it all at once.

Summer 2023 Update

Hello lovelies,

I hope you are all doing well. The last month has been overwhelmingly busy for me, and it will only get busier over the next couple months, so this update is to give you a thorough breakdown on what is to come.

What to expect this summer:

This update may be the only one I make until September. Festival season begins which means I will be on the road touring with minimal time and access to internet. 

Touring takes an insane amount of energy out of me. I will need to prioritize rest and health during the little bits of time I have between festivals as that recovery is crucial to make it through the intensity of international touring. Working at festivals means I work 10-15hr days with minimal sleep, loads of physical labor setting up, tearing down, and transporting everything from one festival to the next, and not to mention the amount of energy that goes into thousands of social interactions connecting with strangers. It is extremely important to me to give my full presence to people at in person events, and for this to happen I need to commit all of my energy to these events as my top priority. 

If I can find time, space, and energy to make additional updates in that time, I will, but as my schedule is absolutely swamped I wanted to communicate that it is unlikely for that to be the case.

So here is what you can expect over the next few months.

Customer Service:

I will do my absolute BEST to check emails and messages as often as I can, but it will be when (and if) I find the time. This means it may not necessarily be every week or on any specific days. Internet and data access is limited, if it’s even available, on most festival sites and I will be working non-stop live painting and making sales which means the only time I may have for customer service will be between festivals, and as I stated above, I will have to prioritize my recovery during those times. 

That said, I will ALWAYS check emails prior to making any shipments to make sure I do not miss any address changes or other important information.

So please continue to email [email protected] with address updates, or any questions you may have.

Shipping/Funds:

I’m unsure of how much I will be able to send through as I am actively on tour, however, with how stacked my festival tour is this summer, I anticipate that when I return and all festivals have paid me out, I will have the funds to put through a majority, if not all the orders that I have left to ship. 

Obviously, I do not want to make any promises given the number of set backs that have come up, but I am very hopeful that this could be the final push that’s needed to make it through this campaign. 

I do also have a big mural gig that is set on a payment plan which will definitely help with shipping costs.

All that to say expect minimal movement on this project over the next couple months, but I will absolutely be back, and ideally with some very good news for you all.

What Shipped in June:

June was a very slow month as I have been preparing for festivals. As I was barely active on socials, not many sales came through, and the little bit that did had to go into merch and festival prep. This means very few orders were able to ship in June. Knowing what I usually make at festivals, this merch had to be top priority to make a maximize my summer income (and therefore maximize how many orders I can ship when I return).

What’s Left to Ship:

I have received numerous requests for a number of orders left to ship. I will share this in a moment. First I would like to explain why I have been hesitant to share this number.

There is a number on my shipment platform that tells me how many orders are “left to ship”, however, this number changes when;

  • damages happen and orders need to be duplicated
  • orders go missing and need to be duplicated
  • backers that never filled out their survey fill out their survey
  • backers that hadn’t paid shipping pay their shipping
  • addresses that were incorrectly input get fixed
  • and several other unique case by case things

I literally had a month where I shipped 50+ orders and the number almost didn’t change in the system because of these orders that were coming through that I wasn’t aware of. So although progress was made, this was not reflected in my numbers that month.

My system provides the number of orders that are “ready to ship”, and as information gets added and taken care of on the backend, the number changes.

That said, my system actively says: 696 orders left to ship.

Moving forward, I will continue to share this number with updates, with the understanding that you are all also aware of the factors that affect this number.

Online Shop:

My online shop will continue to be open while I’m away, however, there will be a notice posted when shipping temporarily pauses mid July. Shipping will resume in September.

Hello everyone!

Just a short one for this month, not much has changed and my last 2 updates are still applicable. I’m continuing to ship as much as I can with what I have.

I shipped approximately 50 orders last month (it's been a slow month), and with festival season about to start (which is where the majority of my income comes from), it should all be uphill from here.

Besides that, I just have a few quick reminders;

BackerKit Pre-Orders

If you placed your order as a BackerKit pre-order, it has come to my attention that “backer-only” updates are not visible to you. I have been making recent updates as “backer-only” as some of what I shared was really vulnerable and difficult for me to share, so I didn’t really want it to be shared with anyone not involved in this project.

I don’t want to leave you in the dark, so you are welcome to email [email protected] with the subject line “Updates Please!” and I’ll send you the last 2 updates as they are the ones currently applicable.

Address Changes

If you have not received tracking information from BackerKit, your order is still at our fulfillment center which means I can still change your address if necessary. You can email [email protected] anytime with the subject line “Address Change”

Please include the full name and email associated with your pledge, along with the new address. I kindly ask that you triple check your address before you hit send as it will be input exactly as you provide it.

Damaged or Wrong/Missing Item(s) in your Order

It’s been happening a lot less since we fixed the packaging issues with our fulfillment center, but as is the nature with postal services, there will always be occasional problems.

If you received your package and something is damaged or you received a wrong item, please email [email protected] with the subject line “Damaged Order” or “Wrong Order” within 25 days of having received your order (the sooner the better, there is a time limit as to how long after a package has been received I have to file a claim). If you received a wrong item(s), do not open the packaging on those.

Please include the following in your email;

  • the full name and email associated with your pledge
  • photos of the box and damaged/wrong items
  • a screenshot of your order (if you can find it, this just saves me a lot of time when filing claims)

From there, I’ll file a claim and we will get you sorted. You may be provided with a return shipping label to return wrong items.

Missing Orders

If you received tracking information from BackerKit, please keep an eye on your tracking. If there are no updates for 30 days, your order is deemed lost by postal services so please email me right away at [email protected] with the subject line “Missing Order”.

The sooner you report a lost order, the better. There is a 30-40 day window after an order has been lost where we can file a claim, and after that, unfortunately there isn’t much that can be done. I will still do what I can to rectify the situation, but that may be limited if a claim can’t be filed.

Refunds

I still plan to honor refunds, but those will be taken care of at the very end of the campaign, after everyone who still wants their pledge has been taken care of. If you have asked for a refund, you have been added to a refund list. You don’t need to do anything more at this time. Refunds will be processed in the order in which they were requested as I can afford them, and you will be contacted as soon as I am in a position to process your refund.

I have not had a chance to do the math yet, but there may be a small deduction on your refund to cover the Kickstarter and BackerKit survey fees associated with your order. It’s going to depend at the end on how many refunds I have to make and how much all those fees add up to, and whether I’m able to absorb them or not. I intended on absorbing these fees at first, but the list keeps growing and I’m realizing I may have to deduct those as they are really starting to add up. So I’m communicating this now so it doesn’t come as a surprise.

Customer Service

I have been managing all customer service on my own lately, but a super lovely person has offered to step in and volunteer to help with all of that. 

My current schedule for customer service: Emails are being checked on Mondays and Thursdays. Kickstarter messages and comments are being checked on Thursdays.

Additionally, our lovely volunteer will step in when they have the time on their own schedule starting next week.

I ask that you do your best to use the proper subject lines mentioned in this update for your emails to help us keep things as organized as possible, this will also make things a lot clearer for our volunteer.

If you have any questions that are not addressed in this update, or the last 2, you're always welcome to ask in KickStarter messages, emails or comments. I don't always have answers, but I will do my best to address what I can. 

Order Status Questions

I have received messages from quite a few people that aren’t sure where they sit. If you’re unsure as to whether you’ve completed your survey or not, whether you’ve paid shipping, or anything of the sort, email me with the subject line “Order Status” and we can check it for you. Include the name and email associated with your pledge if you can.

Please do try to check your BackerKit yourself first, as these status checks can take up a lot of time, but I’m more than happy to help if you’re struggling to find your information.

I keep on saying this but I truly mean it every time, I am absolutely baffled by the support I have received here, the love, patience and understanding I have received have been beyond anything I could ask for.

This project has been and continues to be a wild roller coaster ride, but it has also been one of the most epic learning opportunities, as well as one heck of a fast track on my personal growth.

There was a while there where I had come to despise my own project, and the negativity I received really got to me. But I can definitely say the love has been outshining the downers and I have come to actually love this deck and project again as the really special creation it really was to me… Despite the many complications.

I’ve been in such a better place mentally the last few months and feeling so much more capable and motivated of getting through it all.
